Now Samsung will be launching the Galaxy M40 on June 11 and the new smartphone in M-series armory will be having a price point of Rs 20,000. This phone will be having a triple camera setup at the back of it with a 32 MP main sensor. Other two camera sensors will be likely a depth sensor and also a wide-angle sensor. Already Samsung has launched the Galaxy M10, Samsung Galaxy M20, and Galaxy M30 in India with the prices ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 15,000.
The Samsung Galaxy M40 will be coming around the give or take at Rs 20,000 price point somewhere there as Asim Warsi said, who is the Senior Vice President and the head of Samsung’s mobile business in India to Gadgets 360.
Also, the display of Galaxy M40 will be coming with an ‘O’ shaped cut-out or may be an ‘infinity O display’. The other significant new feature that Samsung will be testing via Galaxy the M40 will be the “Screen Sound” technology.
This screen sound technology means that the Samsung Galaxy M40 will not be having an earpiece, the audio or the sound vibrations will come out directly from the display. Galaxy M40 is also expected to run Android 9 Pie version with OneUI from Samsung.
While Starting off with the design, it is also confirmed from the teasers that the Galaxy M40 will be coming with punch hole Infinity-O display and Samsung has used the Infinity-O display already on phones like the Galaxy S10 and the Galaxy A60. Devices with punch-hole screens are still very few, the ones especially in the affordable segment. In fact, the new Galaxy M40 will most likely be the affordable phone with a display hole.
Coming to the hole-punch design which is confirmed, Samsung is yet to reveal more specs about the display. We are expecting a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution.
And On the back of the device, the Galaxy M40 also seems to look similar to the Galaxy M30 in that which will sport a triple camera setup on the top left side and also a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Galaxy M40 should also be getting a curved glass panel just like its predecessors. As seen in the teasers, the device is in a blue color finish, but we are expecting the company to announce more color options.
This may be the first device in the Galaxy M series to sport a Qualcomm chipset. Galaxy M10 is powered by an Exynos 7870 chipset, while the Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M30 are running on an Exynos 7904 processor.
This device seems more than likely that Samsung will be launching the Galaxy M40 with Snapdragon 675 processor. The device could also be offered with up to 6GB of RAM and also 128GB of internal storage.
